How long have you been doing wedding planning?

We have been planning weddings & events professionally since
2004… but the collective wedding experience of the team is over 20 years. We
all found our love for weddings in different areas of the industry from
catering to bridal attire. Also includes the time of our professional wedding
& event education.

We love your services & your portfolio page… everything sounds fantastic… Can you tell us what sets you apart from other wedding planners?

Sweet Dreams Weddings & Events consists of three talented Portland, Oregon wedding and event planners. The company has grown to include two owners, Lisa Taylor and Tilly Dorsey-McLeod, and associate wedding and event planner, Mary Ridderbush. Our power house team has created an incredible brand with their creative talents, business savvy, and hunger to change the “norm” in the event industry. One of a few co-owned wedding and event firms, we deliver a collaborative edge and modern approach to their clients’ events, and are conveniently located at The Wedding Lounge at 2808 NE MLK Blvd Suite J in Portland, Oregon by appointment only.

All sounds wonderful but it seems expensive, can we afford it?

We have 4 packages available to meet the needs for every bridal event; each package is
designed to help create the experience for each bride… the value of each
package is worth the investment for each bride at any level. From full wedding
planning & designing to the just needing an bridal mentor.

Who do you work best with?

Fun, loving couples who want to save time, money & want to relax and enjoy their day. This
bridal couple has a vision of the day but needs the help to pull it together,
and wants to personalize her wedding day but doesn’t want to be all DIY (do it yourself).

Who is not going to benefit from your help?

There isn’t a bride that we feel wouldn’t benefit from one of our packages, even the bride
who has planned her whole wedding & doesn’t need someone to coordinate her
day. Because it is a small private residence wedding that involves no other
wedding professionals other than a photographer. Her family is doing all the
catering, baking the cake & buying the flowers from the Saturday market.
This sounds to be a true family affair, but every bride could benefit from our
professional wedding advice services.

Will I lose control of my wedding if you’re planning it for me?

Not at all… You do the planning we guide you through education. We take your needs and wants
and help you develop your wedding image into a reality by giving you the options and you make the final decisions.

Will you work well with other vendors I have all ready hired?

Of course we work well with other wedding professionals, we have a saying which we stand by “we
work for our brides, but we work with the other wedding professionals” meaning… we work to make everyone have a successful day.

Do you take credit cards or offer payment plans?

We do accept credit card through our PayPal account, there is a small fee charged for using
this payment option. We also offer a payment plan for those who would like to
use this option, 50% deposit is required and the remainder of the balance is
split into equal monthly payments. With the balance paid in full 30 days before
your event.

Do you have liability insurance?

We have personal liability insurance for our business… but we always encourage our brides
to purchase their own wedding liability insurance for their own protection for
those unforeseen situations that can happen.

Do you take on more than one wedding a day?

We are team of professionals but it is very important for us to provide personal service
& a outstanding customer service experience. Wedding planning &
coordination take a lot of hours and attention to many details and we want to
make sure that every bride receives this personal attention. So no one
coordinator takes on more than one wedding a day.

What happens if you’re sick?

We are not a solo planner company we are a “fabulous” team of wedding planners, and we
create a client folder that holds all your documents and notes of every meeting
or conversation. This way any member of the team can review this and know your
vision & execute it on your wedding day.
