Real Wedding: Urban Chic

A romantic little chapel nestled in a quiet Canby neighborhood is where Brandi & Ian started their “I Do” story.. Angelina’s Canby Poineer Chapel.

Brandi & Ian chose some fantastic wedding professionals to help bring their story together on their special day. Aaron Courter Photography was there to capture all the memories & emotions to help the couple to share their day with others.

Simple, Romantic & fun is what this couple wanted their day to be… most importantly they wanted to share it with their love ones.

The classic romance was carried through the ceremony & reception with the pink & white flowers by Country Florals.

They shared the simple, but elegant decor through out the event. Barclay Event Rentals helped set the tone with the champagne linens and chair covers.

Fun was the reception agenda, so Bust-A-Move DJ services did an awesome job  keeping the party going all night at Weatherford’s Grand Lodge.

Love was the theme for the whole day…..

Real Wedding: Portland Spring Beauty

Spring time is natures way for new beginnings, so it was the greatest time of the year for Carrie & Rafael to celebrate their union as husband & wife. The couple wanted to keep it simple, intimate & romantic with a twist of fun. Aquariva Italian Restaurant and The Avalon Hotel & Spa was the venues they chose to host their memorable wedding day. To capture all these amazing memories for the couple to look back on was Sara Vandepas of Sara Vandepas Photography.

Every bride wants to look & feel “Fabulous” on her day and the ladies of Pretty in Portland were there to make sure that happened for Carrie.

To help create the bride’s blooming spring setting indoors was Leslie of Country Florals.

Using decor & floral wasn’t the only way the couple brought their personal touches to the wedding, they offered sweets from Le Cookie Monkey. Delicious flavored mini cupcakes, Elvis cookies and an amazing sweet heart cake.

The couple wanted the day to be a celebration for them and all their guests, so to get their party started and keep the guest dancing the night away. Carrie & Rafael also wanted to share his culture with all their family & friends… so the hired a Mariachi band to entertain everyone at the wedding.

Decor is always a great way to bring personality to any special day, like using names of special places for table names or textured linens and lighting in rich tones. Linens & lighting by Barclay Event Rentals.

At then end of every wedding day is the beginning of a new life together for every couple… Happy Wedding Planning!

Real Wedding: Downtown Modern & Chic

Imagine a downtown four star hotel with modern artwork, chic furniture, fabulous open areas that would make the perfect backdrop for your modern-chic wedding.

The Nines Hotel downtown Portland was our bride’s choice… and it was the best location for her wedding celebration.

The bride chose to create the ambiance for her ceremony in the open forum by adding candle light to mark her aisle & adding texture to the backdrop with 9 foot pluums she rented from WCEP. Being the area was open she used purple up-lighting on the pillars to dress up the room with her colors.

Here color pallet included purple tones, deep pinks & black… then took it up a notch with adding pewter accents. She also added textures to her decor with feathers, damask prints & pin-tuck linens.

Our beautiful bride personalized her tables with markers that said “love” in different languages.

Both her table markers and her escort cards were hand written by Alesia, of Alesia Zorn Calligraphy.

Her texture didn’t stop with linens or table centerpieces, she brought it in with her paisley cake and different flowered cupcakes by AK Cake Design.

With the large ballroom that she had her reception in we used purple up-lighting to dress the walls and created the couple initials on the dance floor to add that personal touch.

Using great linens, creative color pallet, with textures is the right combination for your modern- chic wedding! Don’t be afraid of using color & creative ways to bring your personality into your wedding day celebration.

Remember the first step to planning your wedding is to give us a call! Happy Wedding Planning!

Real Wedding: Oregon Coast Wedding!

Our Beautiful Oregon Coast Wedding!

This wedding  was a destination wedding for our wonderful couple from Boise  along with all the 60 guests as well.

The couple chose bold colors for their wedding pallet, so they used them in the flowers & in the small decor details.

The beach was the location & back drop for this fabulous wedding. Using the natural surroundings for her ceremony & inside the event room.

Every Bride & Groom should always add their own personal style into the wedding decor…. This couple did this by adding a shabby chic feel to the reception.

At the end of it all it’s about the union of the couple & enjoying the day.

But one thing to remember about a wedding at the Oregon Coast…. Always have the tented” Plan B” & bring your umbrellas!

Wedding Dates to Avoid in 2011

Brides-to-be when you are choosing your wedding date for this summer & fall make sure you check these dates before you put your money down on your dream venue. If you want all your family & friends to be with you & your fiance on this important day try to avoid major holidays & other days of celebration.

Not just because people make plans or have traditions to celebrate these days, the cost of travel may be more expensive as well. If you are going to say your I Do’s in a Church or Religious facility make sure you are aware of all the recognized days of worship.

The popular dates for weddings this year are 9/10/11 which falls on Saturday & 11/11/11 falls on a Friday.

So just remember if you do choose to get married on a holiday to send out the save the dates in plenty of time so your guests can make arrangements or send their RSVPs.  Another piece of advise is to always check the local events in your city or town to make sure you don’t have any surprises traffic delays or road closures on your day!
